Bookings are now open for parent teacher interviews for all Glenroy College students, to be held online on 14 September, 2021.
Interviews will be held via Webex video link for students in all year levels, from Year 7 through to Year 12. This is a great opportunity to meet your child’s teacher and connect with the College, especially as lockdowns and online learning has limited opportunities for parents and carers to interact in person with the College and our staff.
How to book
Parents and carers can book via the College’s XUNO portal. We encourage you to book a time with each of your child’s teachers. A link to book individual interview times to speak to your child’s teachers is in the drop-down School menu, as shown below.

You can book appointments in 10-minute increments between 3pm and 7pm. You must book an appointment for every teacher you wish to speak to. Teachers will take a short meal break between 5pm and 5.30pm, so will be unavailable at this time. If you need an interpreter for your parent teacher interview, let the office know via email at the time of booking.
Bookings are open now and will remain open until the morning of 14 September. A list of teacher video links and appointment times will be sent to you before the event.
Students should attend with you
It’s a good idea for your child to attend the parent teacher interview with you so that they can hear what their teacher has to say about their learning. Before the interviews, ask your child how they have been going at school and if they know what their teachers might have to say about them. It’s okay to take notes about what the teacher says so you can remember later or share it with another parent or guardian.
Here are some questions you might like to ask each teacher:
- How is my child progressing with their work?
- Does my child struggle to understand their work or get things done?
- What are they really good at and what do they need to work harder on?
- What should I know about my child’s behaviour and participation in the classroom at school or online?
- Is there anything I can do to support them at home?
- How can I contact you if I have concerns later in the year?
Parents and teachers working together
Remember, parent teacher interviews are a time for the College and parents/ carers to work together to support and encourage your young person in their learning. Our teachers love to share news of student achievements and successes with families during these interviews. Sometimes teachers may also need to tell you information about your teen that leaves you, or them, feeling disappointed, sad or angry. It’s important to keep calm and use the information to make a positive difference to your child’s education.
Being present and attending a parent teacher interview is an important way to show your child that you are working with us to support their learning and help them achieve their goals.
If you need help booking your parent teacher interviews or have any further questions, you can contact the Glenroy College office.
