Glenroy College is offering free cooking classes and take-home grocery packs to our families in Term Two as part of a special learn-to-cook program with Foodbank Victoria and the Department of Education.

Families will prepare and enjoy a meal together during each weekly cooking session. These will be held after school over five weeks in the College’s newly refurbished Food Technology building. Each session will run for about two hours. Families will also get take-home recipes and weekly grocery hampers to create more delicious meals at home.

Learn to cook on us!

The cooking classes are part of the State Government-supported School Breakfast Clubs program, which aims to teach life-long healthy eating habits and to give people confidence in the kitchen.

Free food and free fun

The free program is funded by the Department of Education and Training. There is no cost for Glenroy College families who want to take part – just delicious free food, the chance to meet other Glenroy College families, learn some new culinary skills and have plenty of fun!

The program will kick off in the second week of Term Two. The first class is set to be held on Monday, 9 May, 2022 and will start at 3pm. Places are limited and bookings are a must, so be quick. Check the program flyer below for all the details.
