Facilities

Glenroy College has a new technology and food wing, a dedicated science wing and purpose-built classrooms for music, art and drama.

Another $9 million was spent in 2020 to create a new library, administration areas and more classrooms for our students. The College has separate junior, middle school and senior learning spaces.

Our learning spaces

All classrooms have air conditioning and heating for the comfort of our students. There are large smart TV screens in every room for teachers to use during lessons and our media centre includes an Apple lab.

Our technology wing includes specialist areas for digital technology, food tech, wood and textiles while our science wing has four dedicated laboratory and teaching zones.

The library is open at lunchtime for students to meet, play games and borrow books. It is also open for private study before and after school.

Our recreational spaces

Our large gymnasium includes a full size basketball court. There is a new flexi-paved basketball court outside as well as areas for soccer and netball.

The indoor canteen is open before school and at lunchtime. Students can choose from a selection of healthy sandwiches, hot foods, drinks, snacks and other items. Online orders can be placed via a special app. You can find instructions for installing and using the Qkr! app on our Policies and Documents page.

The grounds are large and well-maintained, with seated and shaded areas for students to use during breaks. The Mulberry Community Garden is located within the grounds of the College.

Performing Arts Centre

Our Performing Arts Centre (PAC) is used for College assemblies and functions, and for drama and music classes. The centre is available for community hire and you can find out more information here.
