Digital Devices

Technology is an essential part of modern learning in today’s digital world. Glenroy College has a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy and students are expected to have their own Windows-capable laptop computer for class.

Computers are a vital learning tool and students need a reliable laptop to access digital resources and to complete learning activities, both at school and at home. Our teachers also regularly communicate with students via the Microsoft Education suite of programs.

The College asks students to bring a Windows device to all classes and has partnered with Learning With Technologies (LWT) to offer our recommended preferred devices. LWT also offers a payment plan to help Glenroy College families make a positive, affordable start to their child’s learning.

Purchasing through LWT includes Warranty and Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) on all devices. This means that for a small fee, laptops can be repaired under warranty. LWT can also offer finance options to allow parents to make periodic payments if needed. Families are welcome to buy a different device from another supplier but it must meet minimum technical specifications or the College IT team may not be able to offer support.

You can find more information about the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) options available at LWT via the link below.
