Glenroy College student Alishba Tauseef has come a long way since arriving in Australia from Pakistan more than two years ago. Alishba, her parents Sadia and and older brother Fayzan are proud to call Melbourne home, but found themselves on the move again this month – and for a very special reason.

Alishba and her family (pictured below right) took a quick trip to Adelaide after the Year 10 student was announced as the 2022 recipient of a $10,000 scholarship for high-achieving students. The Harding Miller Education Foundation honour is given to female students who show “enormous potential to achieve academic excellence and significant professional success”

‘We’re so proud of her’

Assistant Principal Lidia Tizian (pictured above left) said Alishba was a wonderful ambassador for the College. “She is focused, she is determined and she always strives to challenge herself,” Ms Tizian said. “We’re so proud of her achievement.”

You can read more about Alishba’s incredible scholarship success on the Glenroy College website. Congratulations, Alishba!
